Thanks Pilze-- I am still deciding what to do--but good news for me is that my friends are moving out of state and may give me their 90 gallon tank. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

Okay--next question-- if I keep these fish and do get the tank that I have a deposit on-- what kind of substrate should I get-- and how much for a tank that is 36"x36" -- I like the looks of sand-- and idea of that-- but my LFS manager says that sand will clog everything. I still would rather try sa...

Would anyone be interested in rehoming some fish?

Ah--tough decision for me-- my 55 gallon aquarium is falling apart-- so my decision is either to buy a larger system or to rehome my fish. I love my fish--but I do want what is best for them and I need to de-stress my life. So--if anyone can promise my fish a good home--and would come get them (all)...

So sorry about your cat, Chefkeith. I feel for you--my cat is my baby-- he is over 18 years old. My family has always had a cat in the house. It is hard to watch any pet deteriorate--and even harder to have to "play God".

RIP

I am sad to report that my skinny loach died this past Thursday--Aug 30. I bagged him and put him into the refrig. Saturday, I took him to Preuss Pets to be examined to be sure that I did all that I could for him. I was told --preliminary observation--looks like tuberculosis. I should learn more lat...

Thanks! So--one treatment of Prazipro? No one became lethargic--and I thought that was a good thing :? --argh--oh well--I probably would have panicked and did another water change to take the prazipro out if I would have seen that. By a few water changes--how many do you recommend and how far apart?...

Okay--back on to the original intent of my thread-- Today is the day that I am supposed to change the water in the tank and re-dose the Prazipro (2nd dose). I haven't seen any changes in the fish at all. Should I still re-dose the Prazipro or should I change water, put in carbon, wait __ (?) long an...

Thread redirection--tee hee oops.

That kitty ailment makes sense--might be worth checking out.

My cat gets top notch care to the point of being spoiled--he is older than my kids and is my first baby.

Just curious--maybe the white patches are etching from someone using the wrong cleaners on it. Some of my older drinking glasses have white etching spots from the various dishwashes they have seen. I have lived a lot of places and seen the damage that inappropriate cleansers can do. While CLR (on tv...

Hmmm, maybe kitty has worms? My cat was filling the litterbox with saucer-sized puddles of pee--then I took him to the vet and blood tests confirmed renal failure. His seems age-related. When he was about 2 years old--we discovered that he had feline urilogic syndrome--so he has been on special food...

Does the kitty have renal failure like so many of the cats who ate the tainted food did? (tainted ha! poisoned is more like it) Are you feeding her a special diet? Now I feel better about buying the Levamisole HCl. Thanks for making up that dosage calculator--I noticed that a few days ago--plus Shar...

I went to Preuss today--picked up some Prazipro and chatted with Fred (one of the main disease expert guys) and showed him the pictures of my fish. So--I changed about 30 gallons of water (RO treated with Seachem Equilibrium, Acid Buffer, & Akaline Buffer to kh 4 & gh 6)--then I treated with 2 3/4 t...
