Are my loches happy

:?: I recently purchased 6 clown loaches and 3 Burmese border loaches. They are in a 125 gal tank with good water flow. They eat like pigs and their color is real bright. Sometimes they go up and down one end of the glass for an hour non stop! Is there a problem or do they like doing this? Thanks Tom

Thanks everyone for the advise. For those who asked, my water is 7.6 out of the tap and stays about the same over time.

I got a KH and GH test kit today and here are my readings: KH 3º or 50ppm GH 4º or 71ppm Is this normal? I think I have soft water based on these readings. Should I attempt to lower the PH? Will this be to high? I don't like using chemicalls to alter the PH because this will result in constant changi...

Thanks for the info on the sand. I am concerned that having the suction high, will leave lots of solids on the bottom. I don't know if you can use a syphon to vac the sand without sucking it all up. How does everyone with sand clean the bottom?
Thanks

Building new Clown Loach Aquarium

:?:Hello, I'm getting back into the hobby after 20 years without an aquarium. Needless to say the equipment has changed and I need some advice. I'm getting ready to order a 120 gal tank and need some opinions on setting up the filtration. I will be setting it up for clown loaches and I know from rea...
