Prime is well known for giving incorrect and occasionally absurd readings for ammonia, see here; http://www.seachem.com/support/FAQs/Prime_faq.html I would have thought that with the continued use of prime you should be fine, maybe up your water changes a little in the mean time.... Oh, just in addi...

Another good tip is to have a household fan blowing on to your waters surface. As well as cooling the water slightly it'll also disturb the surface a little increasing the waters oxygen uptake.

Could it be that you have Old tank syndrome, as mentioned in an recent post? What you have mentioned so far is pretty much in line with OTS, has your PH dropped any further today? I think ammonia reduces in toxicity with PH but i'm fairly sure its only at its most non-toxic at a PH of 5.5 or below.....

Aren't limestone and calcium carbonate basically very similar?
If so try making a paste using biological washing powder...
Leave it for an hour or two then remove through normal wiping and lots of water. Should clear it up, or so i heard..

Got a view from either side, but he/her refused to go on the glass... I'll add when he/she is willing. Not the greatest shots but could be zoomed into if saved to your own computer... Tends to hide out for about 48hrs at a time and then has a flurry of activity....

I noticed that the head markings in particular looked more linear than round as they appear to be in the picture i found on this site under zebrinus... Dunno? (look at me! trying to be clever :D ). Aside from the sinogastromyzon requiring a less algae based diet than the others, and basic hillie car...

Hmm... The 20 gall tank (my minnows are there temporarily) is highly filtered, external canister for a 40 gal and internal canister for a 30gal but its the one rock sheltered from water movement. It was setup after a fair bit of research, specifically aimed at hillstream loaches. I suppose you guys ...
