Thanks Mick! They are very cute. I had been thinking about giving up the sewellia & friends in order to use the tank for mudskippers (no space for another tank of that size, unfortunately), but not now!

question about baby sewellia lineolata

Hi guys. A couple of days ago I was surprised and very excited to find two baby s. lineolatas in my river tank. I've never had any fish successfully breed before that I'm aware of, so this is very cool, especially as s. lineolata is one of my favorite fish. Anyway, the babies are a little over half ...

Speaking of Celestichthys margaritatus, does anyone know why this fish was originally referred to as the galaxy rasbora but now seems to be called the celestial pearl danio?

Yes, Chia, I am a native Hoosier and an ISU grad like yourself. Its nice to see another person with Indiana connections on this site. There aren't too many of us. If you do move back and have to give up the Sewellia, you can probably pick some up at my favorite fish store, Aquarium World in Lafayet...

Jim Powers, are you a Hoosier too? Greetings, my brother! I graduated from Indiana State a couple of years ago, married an Englishman and moved straight out to the UK. We're looking to move back soonish, although I am not looking forward to giving up my sewellia tank! I love how Petland in Terre Hau...

Hi Chia, One of my suppliers used to send me them for free as packaging in boxes of fish, but they aren't allowed to do this anymore. So the last lot I got off of an e-bay seller called Amy Lim. Here is one of her auctions for your info: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Amys-Ketapang-Inc_Grade-A-Almond-Lea...

Emma - Nice fish! Also, where did you get the Indian almond leaves for your sewellia tank? I'm in the UK too and I'm not sure where to buy them. I'm interested because I've got some sewellia and some bettas (in different tanks, that is...I think a betta would get blown around like a leaf himself if ...

That's interesting about the fish hanging upside down. My "albino ancistrus" (not quite sure that's what it is) does the same thing. He spends a lot of his time upside down on a piece of wood that I've got suctioned to the side of the tank, but sometimes switches to the ceiling of a coconut cave. (I...
