I should also mention that all my fish were fine until I started this new aquarium as well theyve been in it for about 4 months now. Its a 100 litre (tall) tank, and I found out after the fact that tall tanks (bowed front) arent a good idea because they can create issues with surface area. I spent a...

Well, I followed directions from a loach breeder. His instructions were to slowly raise the temp of the tank ( no more than 2 degrees per hr up to 85 f) which I did to speed up the life cycle of the ich. Also, I only added half the salt of a normal treatment as recommended by him. I left the salt in...

I have adequate circulation, and air stones. Also my water quality is good. I treated initially with salt ...

My female is also all puffed up with eggs, she mostly lays on her side when resting. I like when she swims along , and just falls to the bottom, and looks around. I stand corrected, my female is about 4 inches long. I think they are a great fish, full of personality.

My female is bearing eggs about 3 times a year, or more. There is a mature male that chases her endlessly around the tank. I also have several Barbs, so I know there is no chance of a succesful hatch.

YoYo's

I have 2 beautiful YoYo's and have had them for about 2 yrs. They are about 3 inches long, and one is always quite a bit "thicker" from time to time. She is the female, and is with egg on and off. Anyway , I dont see a lot of threads on YoYo's here, and was hoping to read more. If anyone has comment...

Egg bearing yoyo loach

One of my yoyo loaches has been bearing eggs for about one month. I know this because she became very large and round very quickly. She often buries herself beneath a log on her side to hide away. She is still very active, and healthy. I have looked online to find out the gestation period of a yoyo ...
