Hi,
is there any news about this species? How big have they become, are they still behaving aggressive? Has the species been on the trade this summer at all?
My LFS has three left from the summer of 2007 and I'm thinking of buying them.

Thanks, Jim!
The adults have been kind of dancing in pairs, but I can't tell if it's got anything to do with spawning, they might be just fighting. Once I saw one couple acting differently, they danced vertically (it's not easy, I've got quite a current in the tank) and were twisted around each other.

Vanmanenia sp. fry (pics)
I had a surprise in my river tank when I got home from four weeks holiday. My Vanmanenia sp. (possibly got an ID here ) had spawned and I found two small fry. :) I have only Sewellia, Gastromyzon and Sinogastromyzon species in the tank so looking at the fry's fins, there's no question they're Vanman...

Thank you for the kind comments! :D Janne, thanks for the offer, but we already have Sewellia linoelata (and their offspring) in one of my wife's tanks. I may drop in for a coffee though if I'm ever near Vaasa. :) And please let me know if you've managed to breed Gastromyzon unknown, I'll be happy t...

My rivertank project (pics)
I've finally finished my 200 litres rivertank project. I have 2 powerheads pumping 1500 l/h each so there should be enough current for hillstream loaches to enjoy themselves. Here is some pics along the way... My first diy backround installed http://kuvablogi.com/nayta/thmb/img1010504.jpg Choosing r...

Thanks, Emma! Sorry to take so long to answer. I've been busy with my tank project and spent yesterday all day at a local aquarium society's auction buying plants and stuff for my tank. Unfortunately the picture in your link above didn't work. Where can I find pics that can be trusted to be of the r...
