We have a whole PVC pipe system running through the bottom of our tank fully covered by gravel except for the 3 entrances where we have the gravel stuck on decoratively with aquarium silicon... Our clowns love it; lol I kinda regret it sometimes because 99% of the time the only signs we have our clo...

Perhaps... The big eyes look like them and the rounded dome like forehead is very, very similar but the nose is a bit longer I think... With how small they are though it is hard to tell - I wish I could see how they looked when the were smaller. Thanks for pointing this out andre! Thanks for the inf...

Hi acambias, I just got some Black/Java Khulis and they are in my 10g QT tank for about 2 weeks now - and I cannot stop watching them they are so busy and do not grow large (3-4 inches)... A shoal of 5 or 6 might be nice with some small cory cats might be good. Weathers/ Dojos grow way too too big a...

Hi Diana, Thanks for responding.... How could you tell your baby loaches had parasites? I never thought about that. It has been a few years since we have bought babies so I realy cannot remember how quickly they grew before. Thanks for the feedback on the growth rate and the comparison to your baby ...

Hi Marita, If you do not have access to more Dojo's and Khuli's right now no biggie - just know they are happier in groups of 3 or more with their same species! Good rescue - you got some really fun loaches.... What is your lighting like in the tank? My weathers and Khuli's seem to be more active wh...

New baby clowns - one appears to be deformed.... Pics

Hi everyone, I bought 2 baby clowns tonight and one of them has a curved spine - he looks totally healthy but his forehead seems a tiny bit rounded compared to the normal profile you see with clowns and his spine after his top fin dips down so his body has a slight bend so his body dips lower in the...

Doc, I am so sorry - how sad... The spots are so strangely uniform. We had a bunch of clowns pass away due to a bad case of ich over xmas aroud the same side or a bit larger perhaps (hard to tell with the pics) - and while the spots look similar I do not remember them being so uniform (but I guess i...

Hi Marita, I suggest trying Spectrum Thera by New Life - It has a pic of a clown loach on the lable and comes in short plastic jars. We feed this to our clowns, weathers, and yo-yos every morning- they all love the food and seemed to have bulked up quite a bit as a result. We feed them algae wafers ...

Thanks to the assistance of MisterGreen I have just found out that a lone fish that I fell in love with and bought at the LFS today is a Rosy Loach! Yaaayyy!!!! She came in as a stray with a shipment of Celestial Pearl Danios a year ago and since no one knew what she was no one ever bought her. So o...

I am just wondering - when you feed your Loach shrimp, cod etc - do you cook it? I assume just in case you cook the shrimp/cod first?
Thanks!

Hi there, The fighting seems to be slowing down (a bit) since I rearranged the tank. However the clowns that are being tormented seems to be getting fin rot where their tails were torn by the bully clown. I have tried to get pics but haven't been sucessful so far. :) Kevin if you look at this post I...

While I will still work at getting a pic - I think mystery is solved.... She looks very similar to, but even more triangular than, the gravid loach that Emma posted in her pics for Helen. Poor thing; after looking at the pics of the other yoyos - I don't she think is truely fat at all, only gravid, ...
