Clown Loach Ick
I have quarantined (for 3 weeks) and added 3 (2.5") clown loaches to my main aquarium, the temperature is 82 degrees, water parameters great. I noticed one white spot on one of the loaches forehead last night. There are no signs of flashing; however should I begin to treat for ick or wait longer to ...

Ammonia Spike
I am using Tetratest Laborett. I use "Super Water Conditioner" by TLC to remove chlorine and chloramine in the water. I put my tap water into a bucket added a coupel of drops, and the ammonia test was zero.

Ammonia Spike
Thank you so much for this. I have added Bio-Spira a couple of days ago which is an excellent product. I will do water changes of at least 20% at a time because of the amount of work it takes to get the water to an adequate temperature (44 gallons each time). I will do this many times over this week...

Ammonia Spike
I have been treating my tank for over 18 days for ick. I stopped treatment because of my ammonia spike (good bacteria kiled off). Prior to this I had been doing a 20% water change every 3 days. My ammonia level has not changed, it is at 1.0 My local fish store told me to not do any more water change...

Quarantine - Clown Loaches
I have currently placed (3) 2.5" clown loaches in my cycled 12 gallon quarantine tank. They are all doing great. My question is do you believe it's beneficial to add any conditioners or products that can help them fight off any bacterial infections or leave them alone? I would like to give them the ...

Ick Medications - Ammonia Spike
I started treating on 8/15/2008, and my last dose was on 8/30/2008 (total 18 days with meds in the water). There was no sign of ick on 8/24/2008, but I dosed two more times. anyways. I had to stop because I started seeing an ammonia spike. I've done daily 20% water changes since 8/31/2008. I don't p...

Ick Medications - Ammonia Spike
I have a 210 gallon freshwater aquarium. Encountered ich, lost (10) 6" clown loaches. Out of 10 loaches, only 4 had ich and all died after the second dose of treatment, and they had a lot of white spots. I treated every 3 days for 18 days with Seachem Polyguard (because it only contains 4% malachine...
