I've added 3 M.triangularis today and initial signs are good. The M.guentheri aren't making life difficult for them as yet.
Also added 2 B.rostrata to make the total 6.
Just the Y.sidthimunki to go, better leave them a few weeks.

I have a 65 gallon tank with 12 small Barbs, 6 Asian Catfish and 14 Loach( 6 Pangio Kuhlii, 4 M. guentheri, 4 Botia rostrata ). The tank has lots of bogwood, plants and pipes for personal space. All the loaches have settled in well and spend quite a lot of time at the front of the tank on the fine g...

Mesonemacheilus triangularis
Another compatibility question please.
Would I being asking for trouble if I added three ( say ) M. triangularis to my community tank in which there are already 4 M. guentheri ?
I'm hoping they will socialise with their relatives and behave similarly.
Thanks in advance.

Schistura pridii
Saw four S. pridii for sale earlier today. Is someone still trying to 'rescue' as many of these as possible for a breeding programme ? Should I reserve them for later collection. The shop is north of London, I live in Herts. Could someone collect them or meet me to do a relay ? I don't have a tank I...

Went out to get B. kubotai to add to my tank today and the ones in stock were very large and too intimidating for current tank occupants. Got four of these, sold as B. rostrata instead. Very cute and seem to be settling in well. They're about 20mm SL. http://www.flickr.com/photos/37677437@N05/348881...

I have 2 Gagata at about 40mm SL. They are much darker bodied than any of the pictures of G. cenia on Planet catfish, but don't really fit with any of the other species. They were just sold as Gagata. Before you ask they don't sit around long enough to be photographed, especially since the M. guenth...

Would be very grateful if someone could identify this loach, I have just bought 4. The one in the photo is about 30mm SL, will they grow much bigger ?
