Ryan, I'd love to know more about this- do you know the reference? There are a couple of Koi and Iridescent shark breeders/producers on the island, so the basic materials and know-how are available. If you are speaking of regular clown loaches then it has been done here in the US for a few years now. The University of FL was the first to successfully develop a commercialized protocol for production. It involves the use of hormone injection and hand stripping the fish for eggs/sperm. It sounds like the suspected female is definetly carrying eggs. However the unfortunate part is that the spawning trigger is pretty much non-existant in the home aquarium.
