It's good to know they will leave the otos alone but I think maybe I won't get any sids if they are such bullies to other fish.

I'm doing some research for a tank I hope to start in a few months time. I was thinking of adding a group of 6 or so sid's to populate the bottom segment of the tank. Clear up fallen food n such. Now I've been reading here they can be quite mean towards some other fish. Would they clash with a group...

I had a big group of kuhli's with my RCS' and it never seemed a problem. It's best to put the shrimps in first and give em some time to multiply. Once you have a good population it's no problem if you have a heavily planted tank.
