Ideal temp for zebra loaches?
I was reading another post on the forum that mentioned keeping their tank at 88 degrees. Seems really warm. What is ideal? What is considered 'cold' for small zebras?

Re: Cloudy eye?
The eye is not looking any better. No one seems chase or pick on this guy, there are a total of 5 zebra loaches in the tank and they all sleep together and hang out together. Other than that the only fish I have in the tank are a few Endlers livebearers. I forgot to add that water temp is 76. Would ...

Help - Loach has broken tail?!
HI - I noticed a small white spot on one of my loaches tails two days ago. It looked like ick so I treated for that - only half normal dose because they are loaches. Now that part of his tail is missing entirely and the lower 1/3 of his tail looks like it is bleeding internally, skin pale, and tail ...

loach lays on it's side on the bottom - normal behavior?
I recently added two new zebra loaches to my tank that already had three zebras. I found one of the news guys laying on his side on the bottom of the tank multiple times in the last couple days. At first I thought he was dead, now I worry he is really sick and will be dead soon. But he perks up and ...

Where to get healthy loaches?
Hi - I am setting up my first loach tank (I've had fish for 15 years, just not loaches) and have done a lot of reading about what species would be appropriate to start with. It is only a 30 gallon tank and I have decided to go with zebra loaches. My problem, there is no local place that I trust to h...
