He seems to be doing okay. His suction and appetite don't seem too affected. Couldn't say for sure though.

Right now I can't observe him much as he is hiding inside a decoration...
I admit I am hesitant to medicate 7 healthy fish if I just have the one (possibly) sick one... will medicating healthy fish and/or treating the wrong type of infection (bacterial vs. viral) harm any of the fish?

Okay, thanks so much for your response. Maybe more info would help... My hillstream loach has actually had this spot since I got him, but it wasn't white; it was dark brown or black. Only relatively recently did it turn white. He's survived for weeks though, even with the spot, and his appetite seem...
