Loaches need good home in San Diego
Hello,
I live in San Diego and am moving to the east coast on 5/23. I am looking for a good home for my fish. I have 2 ~5 inch clown loaches and 1 ~4 inch botia kubotai (a.k.a. angelicus). I also have 2 rosy glass barbs and 2 small polka-dot cory catfish that I keep separately. I am pretty attached to my loaches, but I am thinking this will be the best for their health. I currently have my loaches in a 29 gallon, but ideally I would like them to have an upward move into a bigger, established tank (maybe >60 gallons). I've had my loaches for 2 years, and they are very happy and love to eat and play. They have lots of personality and get along well with each other.
If anyone has any experience sending loaches by plane/fedex or something like that, please also write with your experiences.
Thanks. There's a semi-recent photo of the loaches at the link below.

What a coinky dink......I live in San Diego, too
What are you asking for them? I have 9 Clowns from 4" to 10" and 2 Yoyos in my 125g. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a couple new buddies
Feel free to e-mail me if you want. s _ wedlake@hotmail.com (without the spaces)

Hi xirxes
I actually got mad at Fountains and stopped going there. When they started having dead fish in the tanks, selling dyed fish, and mixing Guppies with Endlers right there in the store, I couldn't handle it anymore. Then to hear the Owner tell a customer that a Betta in a critter keeper only needed a water change of 20% once a month.....kind of ran me off
I normally go to Pet Kingdom on Sports Arena. Mike there is a GREAT guy. I found my Horsefaces there and it was only because he had special ordered them to get some variety in the store
He actually opened a Fluval box to get me a piece of tubing when they were sold out of them. He just said, "I'll put the tube back when they come in"
Ever been to Aquatic Warehouse? It's in Clairemont by the Traffic Court. If you are looking for specialty parts/equipment, they are the ones to check out
Knowledgeable staff, too.

yeah, we have a 3000 gallon koi pond, head to aquatic warehouse for that sometimes, but is a bit far for me.
I live near fountains, and have found the health of their freshwater stock to be much higher than that of Animal Kingdom. I have never seen a dead fish there, yet have seen a few at AK. However, i do agree that AK has much better knowledge base and a staff that is eager to help.
They have recently started stocking a lotof loaches, which makes me happy, but the last three times ive been there (AK) including yesterday to drop 400 on sand/chemicals/live rock for that 100G, the clowns have had ich! I started the hobby there, and found that most (6 of 7) got ich within a day of bringing them home, and fountain's not the case.
