kuhlis and 33 gallon tank

hi guys, want to set up a 33 gallon tank and focus on just kuhlis. realizing there are a few different subspecies, how many could I put into my aquarium and what filteration recommendations do you suggest. I currently have one Aqua Clear 30.

Hello Rod, i too have a 33g tank and am planning on getting some Kuhlis. The general reply ive had in most forums to the question is about 6 or 7, they are happier in a group and much more visible. But dont take my word, there are some real Loach experts here who can answer your question more accurately.

Welcome to LOL. I have a 30 gallon kuhli tank (36" long.)

I have an Aquaclear30 on my tank now, plus two sponge filters (one sponge just recently added.)
