The new tank

Post by Ashleigh » Wed Jan 09, 2008 8:49 am

Seeing as everyone made the move to Wales without any problems and got the new tank up and running, I thought it would only be fair to post a few pix :D
Fish travelled over as normal in their 'little' polybox and travelled very well-I really have to stop this buying and bring fish back from Ireland but Grosnver are so cheap, its hard to resist :?

Anyhow, the tank 30x12x15

At the moment there is 8 cherry barbs (7 female) being grown out for the 4ft 'community loach' tank. I was a bit short on ladies for the lads so these should fit in nicely when the time comes, 13 little Zipper loaches and only keyhole cichlid (Nelson-like the bully in the Simpsons) who may possibly be moved, depending on how he settles in.

Zippers have already dug out several pits around the stones and wood-I don't even know why I bother to try and set it up neatly in the first place

WOW! Beautiful tank Ashleigh! I am happy that the move was successful!

Great photos too (although Emma may probably observe that you need to clean the glass  ).

Thanks guys :D Few more plants to go in tonight but its more or less done.

Glass cleaning-put it down to pure laziness  we only got it up and finally running at 12 last night-had to go to Chester to pick up the tank and I was tired from travelling that morning, thats my excuse and Im sticking to it

Would I say such a thing? That's Martin T's department! :P

The tank looks great Ashleigh, looking forward to more pics once the extra plants are in.

Little bit of a tidy up so far, still needs more plants but so far Im happy :)
Fish seem to appreciate the extra cover so thats the main thing. Cherry barbs are already at it  you think they could at least wait for an introduction....

He was the bully in the shop :)

Thanks for the comments-debating about the rocks, if they were more 'used' looking Id be satisfied but the zippers like to chill during the day on them  and its their tank I guess
