Dead Clown

Post by Martin Thoene » Sun Apr 27, 2008 11:09 am

Well....playin' possum anyway. Took these hurried snaps of this fish. It used to be the Alpha loach at one time and got severely beat up in a power struggle. Note the damaged pectoral fin. Before I got the camera out it was completely inverted.

I know Emma....water spots....algae

No wonder new Clown owners get freaked out by their fish.

Martin.

Oi Thoene, don't make me out to be some sort of clean freak! :P The glass on my fishtanks at home might be clean, but you should see my windows! :?

Nicely captured relaxed clown, by the way. :D

I watched a pile of 3, sandwich-style clown/caudipuncatata/clown, funny: the smallest was on the bottom.
Nowadays the caudip. hang out in caves with clowns occasionally, but sometimes even kick out the about at least 4 times heavier clowns. Caudis seem to flash spines quicker. My clowns don´t really want to get involved with them and rather go away. But no real agression visible, even though the caudis like to play it wild and rough amongst themself, but even that´s most of the time good playing. once I watched my male clown rush at a larger clown in the bold "caudi-style", the larger turned around and flashed spines... I was surprised. It appeared as if the male clown found some fun in the caudi game. Even a smaller Caudi. jumps at another larger one, when having the opportiunity to surprise the other one. Typically each caudi. has its own cave and defends it.
