Hazy, milky wash over clown loach

Post by Linda McDonald » Sun Jul 02, 2006 11:38 pm

One of my clown loaches isn't as bright as the other. They both looked the same this morning. Tonight the one has an almost 'milky' washed looked to him. He is moving around as usual and eating. What could this be? I don't see any ich spots on him, just an all-over washed out look. Thanks!

Probably no need to worry.

Often the "alpha" loach will display a grey or washed out coloration. This could be semi-permanent, or could be a temporary situation when your clowns are fighting for dominance.

Linda,

Does the milyness look like a build-up of skin-slime or just a washing out of the regular colour?

A

PS- CL in repose photos. Funny. The look very healthy here.

Just a 'wash out' look. Seems to be more normal this afternoon. Why did I think I needed 25 more little ones to worry about?
