New homes are needed....

After a long think and discussion with the other half, we have decided to break down our 8 tanks into 5, possibly 4 as one-I have very little time to maintain each tank how I want it and two-the other half found it very difficult to keep up with maintance while I was off visiting family for the past month and its not really fair to keep throwing it on him each time I decide Im away to visit :roll: The idea is to end up with a few 'one loach species' tanks where I can expand the species Im keeping into much larger groups :)

Soooo all in all I have a few loach and non-loach buddies that are in need for a new home. The list will gradually be added to as I break down each tank so if anyone can offer some of this lot a new home were they will be appreciated pm me :wink:

Il only be offering the loaches on the forum- don't want any of this pet shop business. Il be heading down Emmas way next Wednesday and also to Wigan before hand so anyone that wants any of these in areas near or on the way to those places... Im sure we could sort something out.


So far I have;

10 Botia almorhae
4 Yasuhikotakia modesta , 1 Syncrossus beauforti and I think there may be a Yasuhikotakia morleti lurking among them. Could do in bigger groups so Grr tank keepers :wink: :wink:

Ashleigh, if you get stuck, you know that we'll always take in any loaches you can't find homes for and give you a bit of credit to spend on something else. Although I am sure you would prefer to find them proper homes rather than going back to a shop, but the offer is there if you need it. :wink: How big are the YoYo's (approx)?

Emma, I might take you up on that offer but Il hold off for at least a few weeks to see if I can get someone who really wants them :D

The most of the B.almorhae are I would guess 3-3.5 inches in length. There are 2/3 that were added last year that are closer to 2 inches.


YoYo possibly have a new home already :wink:

if the yoyos new home doesnt work out, i could probably take some.

sorry to hear about you having to downsize though. you must be sad to have to do it. i hope you manange to find all of them good homes through here.
