My fattest Sid about 2 weeks ago.....

....and here she is today....

....and another of her today, are those sensory pores that are running from the top of her mouth to just under her eye?

...and another. This one is blurred, but it gives a better indication of how fat she really is

Here's one of another Sid that has excavated a little "nest" for itself, it's made a rather neat little den between the bogwood and eggcrate base. I found this interesting as I wasn't aware they did this. I don't link it to any breeding behaviour though, as this particular loach is nowhere near one of the fattest

A small group shot...

Some more.....

Just Chilling...

My fattest striata...

A waif of a striata that I picked up last week, this particular batch had some serious bad luck, too many packed into the bag it would seem, and many of them didn't make it

...8 days on and he's starting to put on some weight, and he's taking his place with the other striata.

Curiously, as I write this, the tank is a hot bed of activity, there are loaches everywhere and I've observed at least 5 of the sids "shadowing"; mostly other sids, but some of the striata as well. I've got one particular sid who's been doing a fair bit of shadowing recently, but I've never had 5 at a time doing it! Well it's lights out for them in a few minutes so that might just calm them all down
