Nemacheilus rueppelli / shimogensis

I bought these some time ago as Nemacheilus rueppelli but there was some thought at the time that they could actually be Nemacheilus shimogensis either way I have 3 hopefully female that keep on filling with eggs before going slim again and one hopefully male that is a lot slimmer and never plumps up (hopefully I can work my magic with these as well )

it was TDO who said they are likely to be shimogensis.
very gentle loach, i did lose some through my ph going down, as i think they have to be kept at a ph of 7 or above to keep them healthy.

I did have a ph drop in their tank and they looked in some distress so I did a water change and added some coral sand, within a couple of hours the ph hard started to rise and they were fine again, the ph now sits at around 7.2 to 7.4 and I have noticed a real improvement in their nature and colour
