I totally agree with you on this. But regarding the threads original intention re using Loaches for food, I don`t think we have gone to far. Fish is normally healthy and nutritious food. And I would guess Loaches are no different....:wink:

Yes, I admit it was a bit OT. Eating those loaches is no big issue since they are bred in hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, for the purpose of being eaten. But that's the difference. They are being bred for a purpose. Just like any farm animal.
