I totally agree with you on this. But regarding the threads original intention re using Loaches for food, I don`t think we have gone to far. Fish is normally healthy and nutritious food. Yes, I admit it was a bit OT. Eating those loaches is no big issue since they are bred in hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, for the purpose of being eaten. But that's the difference.
