I'M NEW....IS THIS A LOACH?

Hi

Can anyone identify this?

I've recently been given a tropical aquarium with numerous fish. I believe one of them is a loach. I've looked through all the pics on this site but I've not been able to identify it. Only that it's been chasing a couple of the other gourami's round the tank and wondered whether he needs to be removed?

thanks wasserscheu, it did cross my mind it was a garra but there's so many species to look through.... I'll keep hunting! Oh and thanks for putting up the pic too :)
