mosquito larvae?
With all this rain we've been getting in northern california, several large terra cotta pots under my deck have filled with water. now as its starting to warm up a little, one of the larger pots has mosquito larvae. I was wondering, is it safe to feed these critters to my loaches? I feel like they would come across this sort of thing in nature, but wanted to check anyway; thanks!

awesome. the pots were clean except for a little unfertilized dirt and some fallen leaves, so I assumed the larvae would be ok for the loaches but I just wanted to be safe. today my loaches have gotten earth worms, spinach and now mosquito larvae all out of my garden; lucky pigs

Do be very careful that the pots/water are not contmainated, maybe feed a few to just a few fish first and see what happens just to be safe. I keep a 10 gal tank outside on my deck most of the year to grow algae on rocks for my grazers and all kinds of larvae show up. I haven't had any problems feeding them.
