Pangio kuhlii baby pics

Post by clint » Fri Mar 05, 2010 11:38 am

I found out yesterday that i have at least 2 pangio offspring. Only 1 of them comes out as of now and its right to the densest Crypt i have in the tank. They are about half grown maybe a third grown i don't know. But i'd like to offer up the pics i managed to get today of him with a couple of the adults so here gos it.

baby is on the left

The baby is in the crypt and an adult was present for scale, which was a lucky shot

Here he/she is peeking from that crypt they call home

Here is a scale shot with 2 adults down lower and the youngster above

Here is the last one i've noticed the coloring doesn't come all the way down the sides yet, lots of white skin with the coloring mostly on the top. I wish i would have discovered these sooner, but a 90g is alot of area for them to have gotten this big without me even seeing it.

Not unless they can inter bred with oblonga. I think its just they have a paler, less defined stripping due to being so young, many fish are like this when young. Some fish look nothing like the adults they become.
