Hello. I have an african cichlid aquarium (45gallon) with some loaches and catfish in there. I have a yoyo loach and a zebra loach. They are all happy together and my cichlids are breeding.
But I just saw a nice deal on Kijiji. Someone is selling 3 B.Kubotai loaches for 25$... But the problem is that they are around 4" and around the age of 3-4 years. Now I have just read that these guys just live up to 4 years maximum. Would it be pointless to buy these? And is this a good deal?
Thanks all! Im new to this forum
edit: at around 3 websites ive been at they say that it lives up to 4 years. but one of them says 10 years +. Which one is right?

Botia kubotai has not been available in the hobby for long enough for anyone to make a specific statement about lifespan.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.Martin, this is a very good article. Does this article also apply to the other lake cichlids?
