When I checked my tank this morning, only one of my two Dojos was out and about. Couldn't find the other one anywhere. I figured if I gave them their favorite food, Sera's o-nip chunks, I could flush them both out. My first and largest Dojo came after it like there was no tomorrow. Usually, they both wrestle over it (which is why I put in more than one chunk), but the second Dojo remained out of sight. Extremely unusual!
I then suspected he might have died in the tank, and started removing ornaments in an effort to find him. I finally found him, and he is alive, but I noticed a whitish substance on one of his whiskers (barbels). It's only on one of them, and there are no other blemishes anywhere else on his body. All of my other fish look healthy.
This morning's parameters were: Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrates between 5ppm and 10ppm. All well within acceptable range.
Obviously, my second, smaller Dojo has become lethargic and has lost interest in eating. The whitish substance on his barbel may just be debri from the tank, or it might be something else. I'm going to keep a close eye on him to see if it disappears by itself or becomes worse.
I have never had any disease in this tank. The only reason I recently purchase Kordon's "Rid-Ich +" was as a precaution, to have it on hand in case I need it. I haven't had to use it, yet.
Anyone here have a similar or the same situation with their Dojo(s)? The other one is perfectly healthy.

Re: Sick Dojo?
UPDATE: Whatever was on his barbel is gone, and he has regained his appetite. Looks like little Dojo will be fine, afterall. Maybe he was just moody? Or just not hungry at that moment? I'm glad this resolved itself, because I sure didn't get any help, here.

Re: Sick Dojo?
I'm sorry, I couldn't help because I have never had this probem and without a picture, I couldn't even begin to understand the problem. Not everyone keeps dojos. Glad to hear he is feeling better.
