Spawning

Post by Renea » Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:56 pm

Hello,
We had to replace all of are fish, Black Moore(blackie),Gold Fanceytail(Goldy),Calico Fanceytail(Caly, now Cal),Gold and White Ruykin(Probie), 2 Golden Dojo Laoches(Laurch and Patch, had a black spot above his eye). The replace Laoches are displaying spawning behaviors. I need more info on spawning behavior for the laoches, as this set is not very old, we got them about 3 weeks ago, guessing that they are about 2 months old now. Got them when they were about 1-1 1/2 inches long.

Read the spawning section of the species profile.
That may help, some. Apparently, not much is known about spawning this species.

Hello Jim,
Thank you for the link, a lot of what is there I have already read, I'm just trying to find out if anyone has had spawning this early from male, female pair and what to do with eggs or fry. This is the first time we have had a male, female pair. We keep looking Info about our fish, we lost our first set to ICK. In the set, we did not have a female loach. So, this is new to me.
