How Many?

Post by Nickynicks » Thu Jun 09, 2011 12:31 am

Hi! I am new to this forum, and I wondering how many yo yo loaches I should keep together. I read somewhere online that 3 is ideal, but I have also read that they should be kept in groups of 5.
Also how many clown loaches should I kept together?
Thanks! :D

One big factor in the number of loaches you get is, the size of your tank.

Well if you do get juveniles and are planning on upgrading when they get bigger then, maybe a pack of 9 would be nice. That is if you are planning on upgrading...

I have 6 Clown Loaches in a 90 uk gal.

I wouldn't know if more or less would be better but all seems fine.

After 14 years one became aggressive and when it didn't settle down I gave it away. I didn't replace it.
6 x Clown Loaches all 30 years of age on 01.01.2024, largest 11.5", 2 large females, 4 smaller males, aquarium 6' x 18" x 18" 400 ltr/90 uk gal/110 US gal. approx.
