My name is Mitch and I was big in the hobby 10+ years ago. Due to relocation back then, all my tanks were sold, save for a 20 gallon long(30"x12"x12"). Last week or so I just up and got an itch to start it back up. I had bought a 55 watt compact flourescent which I never even used; stored the tank before I had the chance.
Anyway; I've been thinking of maybe a SE asian biotope, heavily planted. A few Kuhlis, Harelequins, shrimps, and a couple of snails...
I've read different opinions on how many Kuhlis and totally confused, suggestions please?
That's about it...
Mitch
I hope I posted this in the right place,

Maybe get around five. I like the striped ones, but black seem more readily accessible. You will see them a lot more if you keep a group, but I do not think you will have room for much more, especially if you get other fish
I have five of the striped ones in a 20 L, along with 5 harlequin raspora and a few cory cat fry (the fry are growing up in there for lack of a better place to put them). Planted tank and the kuhli's do like to hang out in the branches, but not for very long. They get really excited after a water change. Fun tank to watch.
