Which loach is it?

Post by Lurus » Thu Jul 05, 2012 8:44 am

Hey guys (and girls),
I found some loaches at tropicwater.eu and ordered them. Two days ago I received the (fast and safe) delivery. Today I’d like to introduce you to my new inhabitants: Cobitis macrostigma

That is also the reason, why I show you these nice ones, the scientific name. Somewhere is written, that they got imported from Hong Kong and they should have been caught in the South of China. I asked the merchant, if this a C. sinensis, but he said, that there is no reason, that this fish is not a Cobitis macrostigma and that I should ask this forum.

So, what would you say to this very beautiful animals?

They are part of my south-chinese/chinese vivarium with Macropodus opercularis, Tanichthys albonube and a pair of Shinisaurus crocodilurus.
