Thanks. Something's bugging me, though. No one seems to have any of the orange/yellow/gold weather loaches. All they have are the brown spotters. I do have one really pale brown weather loach, though, that looks almost white.

Still, some more orange/yellow/gold weather loaches would be nice.

PLEASE buy atleast one if not two friends for your goldfish they are more social than anything I've ever seen loaches included and they really do need to be with friends.

And consider upgrading to a 90 or 100 Gallon one day so you can grow the goldfish to the size of melons. theyre super cool that size.

Is that thing on the bamboo a fish?

I'm not sure if you know this, that lucky bamboo will die soon if the leaves are not on the outside of the water. You can grow it in low light. All you need is a desklamp with the brightest screw in CF (the twisty little new lightbulbs) you can find and it'll grow right out of the tank. Just prop it up or something till it grows more. It cant live for long with the leaves underwater.

Wait, yes it is a fish. I think it's a dwarf puffer before I moved him into the 10 gallon. Bamboo is fake. I'm upgrading to a 125 next month. Buying more goldfish to go with it.

Anymore questions? :D

Cool and cooler!!! 125 is fantastic for big goldfish
If I may please make a suggestion, and please consider it seriously, keep your collection of weatherloaches in the tank you already have and make the 125 heated to approximately 77-78F. I assure you that fancy goldfish genuinely do much better at this temperature. Please don't just take my word for it. Google some goldfish fanatic forums or ask someone who's been breeding fancies for a long time. I think I told you about the guy who used to keep his Goldfish with a school of Ottos in a 120 at about 77.

Have you decided what goldfish you're getting? All the same or are you going to get some straight fantails or some ranchus or something?

You might also consider in the time between now and then trying to find some good quality goldfish providers nearby. A nice goldfish is hard to come by but I've seen some mind blowingly nice ones. This guys $2000ish Japanese imported gigantic fancies were just insane (GoldFIshFreak from old PN if anyone remembers)

Here's an excerpt from one of our convos:

I agree, I feed my fish a variety of food and the best that I can find.

I am feeding my goldfish: Omega One goldfish pellet, Omega One First Flake, Ocean Nutrition Formula Two pellets and flakes, a specialty goldfish food used by top breeders in Japan called Japan Ranchu Lord, frozen Hikari Bloodworms, mysis sprimp, and krill, daphnia, defrosted peas, and pure spirulina flakes once in a while. I feed my betta Hikari Betta Bio Gold, frozen bloodworms, mysis shrimp and daphnia once in a while.

Oh, and I am starting to feed the goldfish dried seaweed as well.

I am constantly searching for the "perfect" food(s).

A truly high quality goldfish like this is quite a sight to behold. Just gorgeous.

I do keep one gold dojo with a spotty brown. Here is a couple of pics. Sorry about quality I'm not real good and one was with a lower megapixel camera. This IS the exact same fish.

Shortly after I aquired him/her
