Uggh, I seem to be sloppy today. You know what I'm saying, and please do indicate more--it is always at least interesting. Thank you for everything said so far.Graeme Robson wrote:Charming!mikev wrote:Just to make sure: I was not trying to ID my fish at all, especially by coloring, I know this is hopeless.... Next time i'll indicate less.
Anyway, I don't know where my fish is from -- I talked to the guy who ordering it last year, he did not keep the records.
My temp is not constant. The main loach tank is heated to 75F, which practically means it is 80F-82F most of the summer, and 78F spring and fall. Of course, there is more to seasons in nature. While I have not been adding or removing any fish to the tank, I see that some species more active for a while, then others. For example, I saw 1-2 schisturas for most of this fall and wondered if they are still alive, for the last couple of weeks I see more, occasionally all 6, out and hungry, but much less of kuhlis. It _feels_ like seasons.... Anyway, if the last year pattern holds, I should see green bellied Myersi's around end of Feb.possibly seasonal, I've wondered that before; though as we keep our aquaria at constant temps with a relatively similar "day" length, I also am not surprised that anything which may be seasonal isn't reliably so in aquaria.
