Lost Loach

Post by AnneMarie » Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:27 am

I feel like a bad loach mommy (mummy for those of you on the other side of the pond). I changed the water on my tank that had 4 Botia kubotai on Sunday. While I was vacuuming I saw one of them shooting for the corner of the tank. For the last couple days I have only seen three of them. Now that is not unusual, they like to come out in shifts. Last night I went searching, I could not find the fourth one anywhere. I looked around the tank, on the floor, expecting to find a body. I checked the filter, the other tanks (you never know). No luck.

The only thing I could think of is he (?) jumped out of the tank landed in the sink and I didn’t notice. I am feeling very guilty at the moment.

I would wait a while and see if he turns up. I've had my clowns play dissappearing acts for months at a time.. only to show up one day and be enormous... obviously been eating but I have never seem him out.

So for now I would just wait and see.

How did you know? I came home from work last night and there he was :? His head is a little scraped up so he must have been stuck somewhere. I can't imagine where though, I don't have any hollow decorations.

I have a sand substrate, and one plastic rock like table thingy :D , they like to wiggle under. The only other I could think of would be the air bubble bar dodad.

I am sorry my brain has desided to not work this morning.
