Clown Loach looking for good home :-(

Post by timothyclarke » Sat Jan 27, 2007 7:34 pm

First of all, thank you to Martin for allowing me to post this thread. I used to post to this board years ago, but can no longer remember any of my registration details.

To keep a long story short, I had to leave my aquarium with my parents the past few months to look after. Just over a week past I discovered that all but three of the fish (one clown and two scissor tails) have died, very upsetting. I've found a home for the scissor tails, but need to find a good home for the clown. Obviously I don't want him to be on his own for long, but I don't think it's a good idea to buy more right now under the circumstances.

I could give him to the lfs, but I'm very concerned he'd end up in a small tank on his own. I just can't move him to my own house due to all the renovation going on the moment, the noise and dust would be too much for any fish. It's such a small house there really isn't anywhere (practical or impractical) to keep fish. So I'm hoping that someone with a community of clown loaches would be willing to give him a good home. I've only had him for a year or so, he's still only about two and a half to three inches long. He currently resides with my parents about ten miles outside of Pitlochry in Perthshire (Scotland), though we could travel some way to meet anyone willing to adopt. Obviously I don't want him moved quite yet as doing so would add to the stress, I'd like to wait at least three weeks.

Hopefully someone can provide a good home, if so please reply here or pm me, then we can sort out arrangements via pm. At the moment this is the only place I'm asking as it's the most certain way to find a good home, but if I don't get any interest within the next week or so I'll have to ask at another forum. I hope I don't come across as callous and uncaring, I loved my underwater doggies and am so upset about what has happened to them. I just want what's best for the little guy which so far has managed to survive.
