CWS

Post by newshound » Fri Feb 16, 2007 4:13 pm

Currently I have one tank with a young batch of histies/kubs/rostata and have lost one due to CWS and now another is going to go.
The problem is that I can't get levamisole around these parts.
If I send someone $$$$ to cover expenses can anyone help me out.

I bought some "anti-parasite Medicated fish food by Jungle but the fish don't seem to like the food. If I remember right someone wrote that it doesn't work for the parasites that loaches have. I thought "hey any port in a storm."
ps-I need enough to do around 150 gallons.
thanks all :D

UltraCare PX, while is not anywhere as good as levamisole, would work in many cases; I've experimented with it about a year ago.

Prazi Pro is another option (bath).

In both cases the drug is the same (praziquental) and will work if the cause is a tapeworm infection. Drugs appear to be safe. UltraCare will be useless if the fish is no longer eating.
