Sewellia shoving match

Post by Emma Turner » Sun Mar 18, 2007 8:18 pm

These two S. lineolata were having a good old scrap earlier. At first I didn't want to disturb them (couldn't tell if it was a pair or two males at first) but after half hour or so, I was pretty sure it was two males and risked going to get he camera. I managed to get this short video clip which shows them shoving each other nose-to-nose and topping. Enjoy:

*turn the sound down/off if you don't want to hear my camera refocusing!

(For some reason these Photobucket vids don't always play first time, but usually go ok the second time you try).

Thanks for the video Emma. After seeing so many still pictures of S. lineolata, I have been curious what they look like in action. Interesting action!

Thanks! :D There are a couple of times during that video that they move so fast that they appear to be in one spot then shove forward so quickly they are somewhere else instantaneously!
