Can you tell the difference?

Post by LoachOrgy » Sun Mar 25, 2007 10:21 pm

Just wondering if anyone notices the difference in behavior. I added some new hikari small sinking wafers and I have never seen the loaches this crazy. I took about 10 videos but I am actually going to try and host it on youtube. The videos on youtube seem to browse easier on most computers. I find photobucket to freeze a bit sometimes.

This is how the loaches used to act when they were in the first tank. Once the move happened they havn't been as active as this. The only thing different I think in diet was the hikari wafers. I had generic wafers and once I switched back to this brand they went crazy again.

I now know how to get the loaches out anytime I want. Just drop in a few hikari wafers and they fight over all of it

Funny thing is, the hikari directions say feed as much as your fish can eat in an hour. That would mean the whole package lol....they eat 6-8 in about two minutes.

Hi LO,

My fish all really seem to enjoy Hikari MicroPellets. They are the only Hikari product I have been able to find around here. I may order something different online.
They also like the TetraMin tablets, but those seem to make a mess of the water for a little while.

Your tank and your loaches are a pleasure to look at. :D

hikari sinking wafers

Post by Batch » Mon Mar 26, 2007 12:11 pm

Hey,
My Yo-yos (I have 7) go crazy over these things. The first
time I dropped one (whole) in the tank, the two biggest ones completely greyed out and started fighting over it! Since then i've gotten smarter and
I break the wafers up into pieces and spread them around.

Cheers,
Batch

With the larger hikari I break them up as well. But these smaller discs are bite size so i put one for each loach in the tank. but doesn't stop them from fighting over it. they definitely go bazonkers for these wafers.
