Your opinion wanted on Vanmanenia dithers.

Post by tglassburner » Tue Mar 27, 2007 11:07 am

As most of you know my rivertank will soon be ready for it's occupants(Vanmanenia sp.) I would like your opinions as to what dithers I should include. I DO NOT want Zebra Danios, or Giant Danios. Also if you could attach a link as to where to get these fish would be great. My area is limited on what fish are available.

From another thread:
Jim Powers wrote:As far as dithers, danios such as kyathit, roseus, choprae and white clouds would be my choice.
I'm sure others would have additional suggestions.
TIA
Tom

What size tank is this again Tom?

I'm inclined to recommend the same as Jim, and also add: Danio sp. 'hikari', Danio kerri, and Devario devario (the last one if the tank is larger than average).

Many species of the barb family make great dither fish too, but species will depend on the size of your set up.
