Snap, Crackle and Pop
My 3 loaches (Snap, Crackle and Pop) are about 3 inches long now, as opposed to the 1 inch or so they were when I got them roughly 8 months ago. I have been feeding Nutrafin flakes twice daily, with zuccihini or broccoli about every three days. Should I be supplementing something else, or maintain the course?

Well they're obviously doing pretty good on it, but you ought to read the feeding info here:

Yes, I had seen that- they don't seem tempted by the algae wafers...only my pleco enjoys them, and I'm sure the Clowns would take control if they had any interest...I think I'll introduce some brine shrimp to the mix soon. I have heard that the frozen cubes are handy as well as tasty...

Thanks all!
They've ignored broccoli the past couple of days- they definitely wanted something of a more meaty nature! Took a tiger shrimp out of the freezer, dipped it in boiling water quickly, then diced into small pieces...I've never seen such a fuss! Have to try the other suggestions as well.

hikari sinking carnivore pellets! yummy drugs
mine will take hold of a pellet and swim off with it before eating it, to make sure no-one else steals it from under their barbels

Thanks, Helen- I had to go down to the LFS today anyway to get filter cartriges- picked up some of those carivore pellets you suggested... I dropped a few in as a treat after doing a 25% water change- Pop found them first and, generous soul that he/she is, immediately alerted the others. Interestingly, Snap was so busy with his/her own finds that there was no fight with the others....they LOVE them- thanks for the suggestionhelen nightingale wrote:hikari sinking carnivore pellets! yummy drugs![]()
