Rostrata Question

Post by mikev » Tue Aug 07, 2007 2:28 pm

Seems like there may be an opportunity to get Rostrata...

One thing I wonder (never kept them): is it more of a yoyo- or a kub- style loach? Which of the two it will be more comfortable with?
(the space limitations preclude getting a fullsize group, but perhaps it is sufficiently similar to one of the kept species for 2-3 Rostrata's to mix with).

Botia rostrata, personality-wise are usually much more peaceful compared to both B. almorhae and B. kubotai. However, if I had to house them together, I would choose the B. kubotai tank.

However, if space restrictions are preventing the purchase of a full-size group, I would have to advise you to pass over the chance.

Thanks a lot, Emma.

I guess it is a skip then. Full-size groups do seem to work better indeed...and I guess I cannot cheat with it.
