I think this is a possibility. So should be Odessa's who are of the same size and req's as Rosies but more attractive.

Just don't forget to consider size on these as well...you can buy them small, but they grow to be 6" :D

I had one of those tanks. I call it my 1-2-3-4-5, and have given up on it because of leaks. Well, someday I might fix it. It is not a very good surface-to-volume ratio. Under stock it, and do everything you can to promote water circulation, better aeration and so on. This is a very deep tank, and the water does not move around very well. I ended up with a canister and the longest bubble wand plus a powerhead. The sand still went foul if I did not do a thorough vacuum every week.

The bottom surface is not really great to have so many bottom dwellers. The eel, and several Dojos would be MUCH happier in the 4' long x 15" style of tank. Could be labeled 45 gallon (Mine is 48" x 15" x 15") A taller tank with the same footprint would also work.

The difference is area is quite significant: 3 square feet vs 5.2 sq.ft.

As for other fish that thrive in the same temperature: do some research for lower limits, but I kept these with my Dojos at 70*F, with minor variations during the year from about 68 to 72*:
American Flagfish, Rosy Barbs, Giant Danios, Spotted Raphael, Synodontis eupteris, Common Pleco. There are several Barbs that will handle the cooler water.
38 tanks, 2 ponds over 4000 liters of water to keep clean and fresh.

Happy fish keeping!
