I am new to keeping loaches and have a problem . I have two (2) 55 gallon tanks. Tank one is my tetra tank with 4 cories, 3 Ottos and 3 Zebra Loaches in addition to the tetras in the tank. Tank two I have divided into 2 equal sides, on side one I have 2 blue gourimis, 3 black mollies, 2 cories, 1 otto and 2 clown loaches ( young ones less then 2.5 inches), on the other side I have 2 cories, 1 female guppy, 1 femal angel (her mate died recently and 2 dwarf loaches.
i would like too remove the divider but I am not sure if the the loaches would get along or should I do some shuffling of the loaches from tank to tank or find a new home for some. The biggest problem I loave them all. Does anyone have a solution.

Actually, when loaches are young they are often not as aggressive or as territorial as when they are adults. I would be more worried about the Gouramis, at this point. They are territorial, surface fish, and could easily divide the whole tank, but probably feel a bit cramped in half the tank.

well, MTS is an answer! its a shame that not everyone can have all the tanks they want though.
you may do best to have a reshuffle of fish AND a rethink of species. although the clowns are small now, they will need a much bigger tank to stop them geting stunted. and you realy need to keep at least 5 of them together for them to be happy. if you do decide to leave the divider in, put the clowns in the biggest tank (as the one with the divider is half the size really, assuming the divider is in the middle), and consider an upgrade at some point.
the zebra loaches (botia striata?) and dwarf loaches (Y. sidthimunki?) will stay much smaller than the clowns, and will be less boisterous. again, both species could do with having a group of 5. the dwarfs might be a bit small to mix with clowns when the clowns grow big, but maybe as a temporary soloution you could keep the loaches in one tank and the cories in the other? cories are social fish too and like to be in groups. in general fish such as the angels and the gouramis you have prefer calmer water than the loaches.

I plan to remove the divider. Will the dwarf and zebra loaches be ok together? If so I plan to move the dwarf's in with them and leave the clowns in the divided tank but removing the divider. I have read what people say in here and figure the clowns will be a better mix with the angels and the gourimies.
its hard to discribe my set up as this tank ( the divided tank) is set up mainly for the enjoyment of my ganddaughter and so it has the larger fish and that would be the best way

I have clowns with Discus, and these 2 species are not aggressive to each other. Clowns however prefer a lot more water movement than Discus. The tank has one side with a lot of water movement, and the clowns hang out there, and the Discus in the other side, though when I drop in the food it is a free for all with everyone scrambling all over the tank to catch the food before it falls, then to find it on the floor of the tank.
Right now, for example, all the Discus are braving the fast moving water to catch their dinner.
