Personally i;d liken this fish to the ones that enter the hobby as Rostrata ! its the face , that seems more akin to those in my opinion.

Martin, your new loach kind of reminded me of some I thought I might have seen before. I've dug out these 2 pictures of some specimens that came in a few years ago, on two separate occasions, in batches of Botia rostrata direct from India:

This fish was just an odd-ball in a tank of cichlids at North American Fish Breeders pixelatedpirate.
