Dojo's and tank height

Post by auntmarge6 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 8:57 am

Do dojo's care if the tank is tall or short?

I have limited space for replacing the aquarium my dojo's are in now and the possibilities include two tanks which have the same footprint but quite different heights. I'd rather go with the lower tank because of the water weight and ease of maintaining it, but after watching my fish dive-bomb from the surface, I'm wondering if height makes a difference to them in their everyday lives. (Not in terms of # of fish but just for their happiness).

The tank depth shouldn't be a problem as long as it is around 18 inches deep. The main factor is the footprint as you stated. Bigger and longer is most welcomed by the Misgurnus anguillicaudatus.
