Please help me to identify my loach..if it is one?!

Hi. the birchir are about 4" long, not even the thickness of my little finger. They are with Malawi and Frontosa cichlids all of which are way much larger then them. The cichlids dont seem too worried by them and vise versa. Everyone seems happy eating whatever I put in the tank. I dont have my lights on too much so its good for the "eels"! I have seen 7" with Chichlids and Goramis in the same tank without problems. Suppose if you feed them enough?!!
