I am a big cichlid guy and saw one of these and got hooked. I have been reading everything I can on them and going to buy a couple though a friend but wondering if there are any known retailers in Socal/San Diego with others strains. I am looking for Sewellia sp. "spotted" specifically but would to know whats out there. I will be setting up a 20g river setup for them and getting some top water fish which I am still deciding on.

Whilst I obviously can't help with specific stockists, I should point out that exports of Sewellia sp. 'spotted' have been few and far between. Since I originally got a batch of these in at our shop, I have never been able to get hold of a second batch. Their habitat is said to overlap with that of S. lineolata, so you're best bet is probably to scour the tanks looking for 'contaminants' that are in with them. I know of a couple of people who have found them this way.
