There is someone that is looking to get rid of 5 weather loaches. To gold and three brown. I think he will take them to a pet store by his house unless I take them since there has been no interst in them.... That pet store regularly has the nastest tanks. Ick and dead fish on a daily basis.
My problem, I have an empty 50 gallon ... is it big enough for 5 weather loaches? I can put a canister filter on is and it is planted. It was going to be for my SA Dwarf Cichlids...lol but they are small and can stay in 10's and 20's...
Should I take them in just to look for new homes for them? If all else fails I love the little things and will keep them but its a lot of committement..... Do people think of those thing when they get fish that live a long time?? I don't think this person did.. He has 5 goldfish he's trying to unload too.
BTW if anyone would like to help by adopting one please let me know.... they are in michigan and about 4-6 inches so I wouldn't want to ship them... Did I just make up my own mind???
Lisa
Advice please- weather loach

Thank you for your reply. I thought they were a big committment because of how long they lived. I two have two gold dojo's in a 50 with two lionshead goldfish and enjoy every minute of the day watching them play.
I have offered for the loaches and hope to come to some kind of agreement over price... Though I thought he was just looking for a home for them since he has cichlids he wants to place in this tank,.. who knows.
BTW Love the site.... and see that there is quite a bit more traffic now.
Thanks again, Lisa
