I just noticed the tank's leaking out the bottom somewhere. It's lost well over an inch of water over the last couple of days. Looks like I'll have to rip the tank down and try to reseal it. I'm not happy

Bummer that! Good luck with re-working it. I'd help you but I'm in the wrong country.

Sorry to hear about the leak. I hope it's an easy fix for you.

Those are some great looking loaches though.

Whitey, before you tear down the tank--
Do you have a hang on the back filter on there? If not, this won't apply, but...

I'd thought my daughter's tank was leaking at the bottom because there was an accumulation of water around the bottom black border. Seemed like a slow leak. Turns out it was the HOB filter wicking water over the edge because the water level was high (to eliminate the splash noise while she was sleeping-tank's in her bedroom). It dripped down the back where I couldn't see it and was traveling around the bottom edge. I lowered the water level and it was fine.

Just a thought.

The leak seems to have stopped by itself, stranegly enough. Shari, I don't have a hob, but thanks for the advice. Since the leak seems to have stopped, maybe it was just water wicking over the top somehow. It's nearly dry under the trim now, and the water level hasn't gone down for the last few days.
I'm going to tempt fate and not tear the tank down right away. I really don't have the time to fix it right now, and I'm not 100% sure now that it was a leak.
