Great pics Mick ! Pier Aquatics is a wonderful shop , especially for me as my main interest is in Asian fishes , Loaches , Barbs , Snakeheads ,etc etc, i went with Mick and was lucky enough to spot a contaminant among the Crimsons, not certain as to what it is yet ,it is either a Garra or possibly another Parapsilorynchus ? at the moment it is quite a small fish, at first we thought it might have been a P.Tentaculatus , i have a good sized group of these , and would say this was a different looking fish !
Does anyone know of any Garra like fish that come from the same waters as the Crimson loach ?

All have settled in great!
No aggression form the Nemacheilus rueppelli's. I'll have to change the profile on the Nemacheilus rueppelli. My single specimen was a Territorial nipper to others back 4yrs ago. < Most defiantly a case of single specimen who feels vulnerable from others.
The Schistura sp *Crimson* are also looking good together. I haven't seen them fighting with each other yet, although they are in a 4footer tank.

thats great news graeme,
it sort of proves that some of the profiles should be changed.
don't you think.?
here's another one for you bud,
the triangularis that we both bought as well as the four i bought previous are in a tank with quite a bit of bogwood, as there was 5 rostrata and a large female histrionica,
i can report that there has been no aggression whatsoever and as you know graeme these are big buggers,
maybe these are the ones from a different location.?

Thanks Keith. I've borrowed a camera from my brother just for the festive period.
Absolutely Mick. The best feature about the home page and all the other sections like the Species index is that we can update or modify anything that needs be.
Interesting topic regarding the Mesonoemacheilus triangularis. My 6 older specimens are still feisty/nippy with each other but these new ones seem to tolerate each other without any problems. *Graeme scratches his head* I've also wondered about the location and colouration on some of these. Some are Golden while others are dark grey. At the moment, i haven't a clue. Perhaps location and variants are the answer. Lovely big specimens though!!

Andy has told me they are caught in at least 2 different locations, can't remember them of hand will give him a bell to get them.
another profile that needs a bit of updating is the pridii, i read the feeding requirements then thought of what mine can get in their tiny mouths.
so far these fish can wallop, white-worms, grindal worms, tubifex which is their favourite, blood-worms all these are live foods that i give them.
i could'nt imagine giving them that fry food thats in rhe profile, crushed flake maybe.

ive just got one of the largest triangularis out to get a few pics and thought i'd better measure it while in the show-tank,
SL it's two and threequarter inches, TL three and a quarter.
i wonder how big does this species really get,
graeme bought some i wonder if he has them this size, could do with him measuring his tri's for confirmation.
another profile to be upgraded me thinks.

Nice! Those guys are awesome... I had one before I new what I was doing, lasted several months but eventually died.
I havent seen them for sale since. I'd love to get some of those again... which brings up a question I have had about them... can they be housed with Sewellia lineolata in a high flowing river tank (40g long)?
